Body Details: Mahogany back and sides with spruce top. There are several repaired body cracks, most notably along the back and along the treble side of the body. These have been reinforced with internal cleats. There is a faint factory order number visible on the head block beginning with a “B.”

Hardware: The nut, saddle, bridge pins, tuner buttons, and endpin have been replaced. The bridge has been reglued.

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Kalamazoo guitar shows great aging, with attractive checking and wear on the glossy finish. There are various light scratches and marks from use, as well as repaired cracks in the back, top, and treble side of the body. The back of the neck is smooth and lightly worn.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action; the neck is very straight at tension, and so the guitar has been set up with 13 gauge medium acoustic strings. The narrow frets are medium height with minor play wear. The original FON is mostly faded, but a “B” is visible at the beginning, dating the guitar to 1936.
