Description

This model is very rare as a Japanese vintage bass.
BO-50, which was listed in the catalog for only two years, 1980 and 1981, is now in stock.
This model is called “Ishi Nandes” because of the logo on the head.
This BO-50 is similar to the FPM-70 that was released at the same time, but this BO-50 has L-20D pickups with adjustable pole pieces.
The 5-piece maple/mahogany thru-neck construction with Sen used for the body wings.
It has a unique, sticky sound with an emphasis on bass.

The neck is set up at a higher string height due to its wavy and twisted condition.
The truss rod is movable, but the adjustment range is narrow and there is not much left to tighten.

There is a gap under the bridge due to the shrinkage of the body material and deformation of the bridge parts over time, but this does not hinder the performance.
There are large and small dents on the lower part of the body top and the body back, as well as minor scuffs and scratches throughout the body, and the metal parts are dull.
The paint around the truss rod adjustment port is slightly peeling.
The string height is high, but there is no fretting or sound clogging at present.
