More than just a new body style for Taylor guitars, the Grand Theater (GT) shape represents a whole new category of guitar. With an even shorter scale than the Grand Concert, the GT features an asymmetrical C-Class bracingwhich employs ideas adapted from Taylors V-class bracingto produce a stronger low-end response than a guitar its size would normally deliver. The heightened touch sensitivity of Taylor GT series all-mahogany models offer more focused fundamental frequencies around the midrange, providing a naturally compressed sound around the center of the EQ.

Sporting the curves of the Grand Orchestra (Taylors Jumbo body style) scaled into uniquely compact proportionsincluding a shorter, 24 1/8-inch scale length for a slinky and responsive handfeelTaylors Grand Theater (GT) body shape employs C-Class bracing to pack the tonal depth of a full-size guitar into a form thats easy to play. With dimensions that fall between the travel-friendly GS Mini and Grand Concert body shapes, the GT represents Taylors reimagination of the parlor-style guitar for the present day.

ES2 Electronics
The Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) delivers the latest technology in Taylor acoustic guitar amplification. The heart of the ES2 system is Taylors patented behind-the-saddle pickup, featuring three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. The new positioning enables the piezo pickups crystals to respond more naturally to the guitars energy as it is transferred through the saddle, with three pickup sensors installed behind the saddle, through the bridge, with three tiny Allen screws that calibrate the position of the sensors in relation to the saddle. Together with Taylors custom-designed preamp, this ES2 system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness.
