More than just a new body style for Taylor guitars, the Grand Theater (GT) shape represents a whole new category of guitar. With an even shorter scale than the Grand Concert, the GT features an asymmetrical C-Class bracingwhich employs ideas adapted from Taylors V-class bracingto produce a stronger low-end response than a guitar its size would normally deliver. Lightweight like mahogany, the fast, vibrant attack of the Urban Ash paired with a solid spruce top gives these GT series models a dramatic, wide-awake sound that lends an almost flamenco guitarlike character and quick responsiveness.
